Today’s project is a cross-top treat box with a video tutorial!
I followed Sam Donald’s (Pootles) tutorial for this and modified the dimensions so that I could get 2 of these out of 1 sheet of cardstock. My team member, Melanie Woodard, gave me a swap with these modified dimensions and I took out my ruler to figure out how she changed it – thanks, Melanie!!
This is such a cool treat box and fits a good amount of chocolate! I’m going to make one to give to my wonderful UPS driver (who loves chocolate) the next time he delivers another Stampin’ Up! box (smile). Without further ado, here’s the video tutorial:
Measurements:
- Sahara Sand layer – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″
- Score along the 5-1/2″ side at 1″, 1-7/8″, and 3-1/2″
- Rotate clockwise and score along the 8-1/2″ side at 2″, 4″, 6″, and 8″
- Then (on the 8-1/2″ side) only score down to the first score line at 1″, 3″, 5″ and 7″
- Pick a Pattern DSP – 1-1/2″ x 1-7/8″ (x4)
