Color Me Happy – InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s June 2017 Blog Hop! Today’s blog hop is filled with projects inspired by Stampin’ Up!’s 2017-2019 In Colors – Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide. What an amazing collection of new colors! We are excited to share our creations with these new colors. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

My project for you today is a set of In Color 3×3 cards! I couldn’t just pick one color, because I really, truly love them all!

This set of cards is made with Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful Blooms & Wishes set. I was delighted to find out that all 5 of the In Colors look pretty with Smoky Slate, so I used it as the accent color on each card. In the center of each flower, I put a clear faceted gem. Here’s a closer look at each of them:

Okay, don’t look too close at them – LOL! I may have smudged 3 out of 5 of them with inky fingers – ugh! Just a reminder to the recipient that they are handmade, right?

Join me on Facebook Live tonight at 8:00pm EST as I demonstrate another super fun project for you! Don’t forget to “like” my Facebook page if you haven’t already so that you’ll be notified when I go live. Hope to “see” you tonight!

Measurements:
  • Card Base – 3″ x 6″, scored and folded at 3″ (or folded in half)
  • Smoky Slate layer – 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″
  • Whisper White layer – 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Robin Myren at Songbird Designs by Robin. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

  1. Inky fingers will get you every time! 🙂 These are wonderful cards, Julie. I love how you paired each with Smoky Slate – the slate looks great with the clear faceted gem in the center of each card. So glad you could hop with us today!
