Best Year Boho Indigo Father’s Day Card

Today’s card features a sentiment from the Best Year stamp set paired with a beautiful pattern from the Boho Indigo Product Medley!

This was the card I made for my husband for Father’s Day! While I’m a day late and a dollar short posting it now, the Best Year stamp set is a wonderful year-round stamp set! And I just received the Boho Indigo Medley and instantly fell in love with ALL of it! You’ll hear more from me about Boho Indigo in a future post!

For the sentiment, I stamped it in Night of Navy onto Whisper White and then punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch. Then, using my Paper Trimmer, I trimmed above and below the sentiment so only the curved edges remained. Then I layered it on top of a Night of Navy piece of cardstock punched with the Everyday Label Punch. A simple Linen Thread Bow pulls the card together with the Crumb Cake card base.

Quick, easy, and masculine – even with a bow ;). I hope you had a great Father’s Day weekend! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful & blessed day!

PROJECT MEASUREMENTS:

  • Crumb Cake card base – 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded in half at 5-1/2″
  • Night of Navy layer – 3-3/4″ x 5″
  • Boho Indigo DSP – 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″

PROJECT SUPPLY LIST:

4th of July Blog Hop!

Ridiculously Awesome Card

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s June Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate the 4th of July – the projects are inspirational, patriotic and filled with reds, whites and blues. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

My project for today’s hop features the Ridiculously Awesome stamp set paired with 4th of July colors: Real Red, Misty Moonlight, and Whisper White:

Ridiculously Awesome is one of my favorite sets in the Annual Catalog! It is Rhonda Wade’s Million Sales Achiever set – hand-penned by Sean Douglass (husband of Sara Douglass, Stampin’ Up!’s CEO)! How cool is that?! Here’s another view:

To create the background, I started with a piece of 3-3/4″ x 5″ Whisper White cardstock that I covered with adhesive. Then I adhered 3/4″ strips of cardstock in a diagonal red, white & blue pattern. I trimmed it down to 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ and layered it on top of a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White for a thin mat border, which really makes the panel pop on the Misty Moonlight card base.

The awesome sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight onto Whisper White cardstock and then cut out using one of the Hippo & Friends dies – love that set of dies!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Lynn Kolcun at Avery’s Owlery. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it! Tonight is my Weekly Wednesday Facebook Live at 8:00pm EST! Click the button below to set a Facebook reminder.

Have a wonderful & blessed day and hope to “see” you tonight!

PROJECT MEASUREMENTS:

  • Misty Moonlight card base – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored and folded in half at 4-1/4″
  • Whisper White layer – 3-3/4″ x 5″
  • Whisper White layer (for adhering diagonal strips to)- 3-3/4″ x 5″ (trimmed down to 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ after adhering diagonal strips
  • Diagonal strips – 3/4″ wide (and long enough to layer diagonally)

PROJECT SUPPLY LIST:

Self-Closing Treat Holder

Triangle self-closing treat holder

Today’s project is a self-closing treat holder! The treat holder requires no cutting or gluing and holds itself together! Love it! Watch out, these are addicting to make! Here’s the group of them that I’ve made so far:

I was inspired by Jane Allmark’s Christmas version of these treat holders – so cute! Here’s a closer look at them:

Here’s how the treat holder opens:

And here’s how it can be stored flat:

Here are a few things that can fit inside: Lindor Truffle, Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, Peppermints, Hershey’s Kisses… and much more! It’s a great little treat holder to have a stash on hand for when you need one! Since it can store flat, it’s a great way to use up some of that beautiful DSP you’ve been hoarding holding onto!

Without further ado, here’s my video tutorial:

And here’s what all the folds will look like if you were to open your paper back up:

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful & blessed day!

PROJECT MEASUREMENTS:

  • Flowers for Every Season DSP – 6″ x 6″
    • Score on all 4 sides at 2″
    • Follow folds as shown in video!

Don’t they all POP with the white daisies? I love the look of these! And they are SO EASY to make and a perfect project to use up your DSP as all it takes is a 6″ x 6″ piece of paper. Without further ado, here is my video tutorial:
