Mini Explosion Purse with Facebook Live Video Tutorial

My project today is a mini explosion purse that I demonstrated live on Facebook last night! Here’s the outside of the mini explosion purse:

And here’s the inside:

It fits a Ferrero Rocher perfectly! How fun is this explosion purse?! I adapted this Splitcoaststampers tutorial to make my own mini version. Also, Brenda Quintana has this great tutorial too.

Here’s a link to the original Facebook Live video, but if you just want to cut to the chase, here’s the shortened video:

I did have a question during the live broadcast asking where I purchased the magnets I used. I ordered them from Spider Magnetics on eBay and the ones I used are 1mm x 8mm. They ship very quickly from the United Kingdom and are a great price! Here’s a link to their eBay store: Spider Magnetics.

Also, here’s a little template I created to try to show you where all the score lines should be as well as the parts that need to be removed:

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you’ll join me for my next Facebook Live event. Every Wednesday night at 8pm EST I’ll be coming at you live with a new project for about 30 minutes or so on my Facebook page, The Paper Pixie. Don’t forget to “like” my page, so you’ll be notified the next time I’m live!

Measurements:
  • Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper – 6″ x 6″, score at 2″ on all 4 sides (see video and template above for diagonal score lines needed)
  • Calypso Coral 2″ circle punch – score at 7/8″ and 1-1/8″
  • Calypso Coral handle – 3″ x 1/4″, scored at 1/4″ and 2-3/4″
