Happy Birthday to my Dad today! I used this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge for this card. The color combination is another suggestion from the new Color Coach – a “sweet set” of Sahara Sand, Pacific Point, and Cajun Craze.
A few details about the card – I first started with a card base of Sahara Sand and stamped the Medallion in Sahara Sand ink for a subtle background. The piece of Pacific Point was zipped through my Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. I wrapped some linen thread around the white satin ribbon and through my bitty buttons. Hard to tell, but the background of the bitty buttons is Sahara Sand DSP! Once I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment, it was too white, so I lightly sponged it with Sahara Sand.
