Christmas in July – InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop!  It’s Christmas in July, and today’s Blog Hop is filled with projects inspired by … you guessed it … Christmas!  What fun!  Although Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Holiday Catalog will be released to demonstrators this week (we can’t wait to share that with you), our Annual Catalog is filled with fun, festive and beautiful ways to make Christmas special.  We are excited to share our creations with you today.  After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

My project for today is a sweet little 3×3 mini card that showcases Stampin’ Up!’s Watts of Occasions stamp set!

I did a little bit of watercoloring inside that adorable tree using Garden Green ink and splattered some Cherry Cobbler ink with a Stampin’ Write Marker to give the card a little more texture. When the sentiment doesn’t exactly fit the way you like it, snip out the words individually and you’ll have more flexibility!

The card base is actually Thick Whisper White so I could easily write a note inside, but I adhered a 3″ x 3″ panel of Be Merry Designer Series Paper to the front of the card to give it the illusion that the card base is the houndstooth patterned paper.

I made a little set of four mini 3×3 cards and wrapped them together with the beautiful Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon – wonderful to work with!

• Thick Whisper White card base – 3″ x 6″, scored and folded at 3″ (or folded in half)
• Be Merry DSP – 3″ x 3″
• Cherry Cobbler layer – 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″
• Shimmery White layer – 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″
