Today’s post is a quick photo recap of my Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip to the Greek Isles! It was an amazing trip of a lifetime and I’m still pinching myself! Bryan and I got home around dinnertime last night and we had a sweet reunion with our babies and furbabies! I thought I’d share some of my favorite photos of Greece with you today! JEWEL OF THE SEAS
Our trip was a 7-night cruise through the Greek Isles on Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas!
We flew directly from Atlanta to Rome and rode a bus just over an hour to the Civitavecchia port to board the ship! The ship left at 5:00pm local Rome time on Sunday and we were at sea until Tuesday morning when we arrived at the first island, Santorini.
SANTORINI
Santorini has breathtaking views! We visited both Oia and Fira while on the island. Here are a couple of our favorite photos from Oia:
As we rode the tour bus back to the dock to board our tender boat, we had a beautiful view of the sun beginning to set:
I’m not sure if you are able to see the black circle in the photo above, just above my watermark, but that is a shipwreck that occurred in 2007! Here’s another beautiful sunset photo from our tender boat:
When we returned to the ship, it was dusk, so we got this beautiful shot of Santorini:
MYKONOS
On Wednesday, we woke up tendered at the island of Mykonos! Here are some of our favorite photos from that island:

ATHENS
On Thursday morning, we woke up docked in Athens! We jumped in a taxi and had our driver show us around – a great way to see Athens! First, we visited the Acropolis, which started with a great view of the Herodes Theatre:
There were 7 cruise ships docked in Athens for the day, which only happens twice a year, so they estimated there were 20,000 tourists in town for the day! This photo doesn’t do the Acropolis crowd justice, but you get the idea:
Here’s a great view looking up at the architecture:
And here’s a view at a distance of the Parthenon (the crowds and heat got to us a little bit):
After the Acropolis, our taxi driver made a quick pitstop for us to take a photo at the Panathenaic Stadium:
Our last tourist stop was a little known spot to take a photo for free of the Temple of Zeus! Our taxi driver stopped traffic for us to cross the busy streets to grab this photo between bushes:
Our last stop before boarding the ship was at a seafood restaurant in Piraeus, which had this wonderful view:
We had a yummy lunch of fresh grouper and prawns, Greek salad, and white wine. Delicious!
KATALOLON
Our final stop was in Katakolon on Friday morning. We rode the Fun Train, which made two stops. The first stop was the Mercury Winery. Here are our favorite photos from this family-owned winery:
The next stop was to St. Andreas Beach. The water was clear and breath-taking:
It was a great swimming spot, but we just waded in the water and tried to navigate all the rocks! After wading, we had a wonderful lunch overlooking the beach:
AT SEA
After Katakolon, we were at sea all day Saturday and saw some amazing sights along the way. First, here’s a beautiful view of the open sea by moonlight:
I was just in complete awe at the view! Then we passed by the Stromboli volcano, which is still an active volcano and caught a bit of the smoke from activity:
And finally, at the “Farewell to Greece” Stampin’ Up! party, we caught a beautiful sunset from the front of the ship:
