Tall & Skinny Milk Carton for M&Ms Minis

Today’s project is a tall & skinny milk carton for a tube of M&Ms Minis!

I’ve wanted to make a box for these for a long time now, so I’m thrilled to have finally done it! Here’s what the side looks like:

And here’s a different angle:

These tubes of M&Ms Minis are available year-round, so this would be a great project to adapt for different occasions throughout the year! Without further ado, here’s my video tutorial:

Here’s the template for reference:

  2. Hi Julie,
I’m attempting to make your milk carton for the mini M&M container but I think my container is a tad larger than the one you demonstrated. My container measures 5 1/2 “ and when placed in the milk carton using your measurements it comes straight to the top not allowing for any folds. Can you please help and tell me what adjustments I need for the cardstock and scoring to accommodate my M&M container.
I just love this project!! Thank you for you help in advance.

    • Hi Mary! Try these measurements for the larger (1.77oz) container:

      Cardstock: 6-1/2″ x 8-1/2″
      – Score along the 6-1/2″ side at 1-1/2″, 3″, 4-1/2″, and 6″
      – Rotate clockwise and score along the 7″ side at 1-1/2″, 7″, flip the cardstock and score at 8″
      – Flip the cardstock again, rotate counter-clockwise and score at 2-1/4″ and 5-1/4″, but only down to the first horizontal score line

      DSP:
      1-3/8″ x 5-3/8″ (4 pcs – portrait)
      7/8″ x 1-3/8″ (2 pcs – landscape)

  3. I have made several of these boxes for Valentine’s Day, and thanks to all your measuring and designing, I have some beautiful treat holders to share with friends. Thank you! Your tutorials are excellent…..so easy to follow.
P.S. A note of caution….there are two sizes of M&M minis tubes. The ones in the Valentine candy section of our Wal Mart are over an inch taller, so for the measurements that you used, people should purchase the shorter tube.
