Lidded Milk Carton Treat Box

Today’s project is a mini milk carton treat box with a removable lid!

I was inspired by Brigitte Keiling’s version and “pixie-fied” it! Here’s a closer look:

Here’s with the lid removed:

And here’s what the inside of the lid looks like (so cool!):

While this project is for St. Patrick’s Day, it’s easy to change up the paper, colors & sentiment for any occasion! The sentiment I used comes from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and I created the 4-leaf clover using a heart stamp from the Heart to Heart stamp set!

Without further ado, here’s my video tutorial:

Here’s the template for the milk carton base:

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful & blessed weekend!

  1. Dear Julie:

I have been trying to make these. I have made several, but the lid never fits. It i.
is always a little to small. I cannot think what I am doing wrong. I follow the directions explicitly

    • Hi Marlene! Be sure to cut the box base to 3-11/16″ x 3-11/16″, which is just larger than 3-5/8″. If the base still seems too big, you can cut it a little closer to 3-5/8″. I hope that works for you – let me know!

  2. Hi Julie,
Thank you so much for your ideas and directions! I help with assisted living in a retirement home and these projects I can use to encourage the people. Since Covid hit I have not been able to get into the home so I am making projects and sending them to the home for the ladies and men in the assisted living area.
I really appreciate your sharing. God bless you. Stay healthy.
