Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Sunshine, so prepare yourself for projects that are filled with sunny images of joy in the great outdoors. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
When I think of sunshine & summer, my mind wanders to a field of sunflowers! So, I’ve got a sneak peek for you!

Introducing the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle! This beautiful bundle will be available on June 3! For this card, I used Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, and Mossy Meadow – beautiful, earthy colors together. The sentiment is heat-embossed in white and the finishing touch is a Linen Thread bow.
For the main focal point, the sunflower, I first inked up the stamp in Crushed Curry, then I dabbed a Sponge Dauber into Early Espresso Ink then onto the center of the stamp. Alternatively, you could also use an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker! The Sponge Dauber gives a softer transition between colors, but both work great!
I can’t wait to share a little sunshine with someone when I send this card!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Joanne Brown at Stamping with JoJo. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

Such a stunner! I’m really loving this sunflower, and I adore how you’ve showcased it so simply with the right colors, sentiment and beautiful texture. ♥ So glad you hopped with us, Julie!
Nothing like a sunflower to bring on dreams of summer! I love the simple and elegant layout.
Very pretty! Thanks for the tip for using a sponge on the center of the flower. I needed to know that. The Mossy Meadow really makes all the colors pop.
I love your sunny sunflower! Your card lets the stamped images take the center stage. Many times they get lost in the details but your layout and simple touch of embellishment allows that flower to shine! Xo
Wow, Julie! Stunning card, and the colors are perfection!
This is beautiful, Julie! I love the way you daubed the flower. And the colors are perfection.
Julie – this card is stunning. It is bold, yet simple. I like the center of the gorgeous flower; the dauber did the trick. I like the colors, and the linen thread is the perfect touch.
What a great card Julie. And you are spot on with the dauber tip for the center. It adds just the right amount of color.
The sunflower reminds me of the North Dakota summers as a kid. Those heads followed the sun and always makes me smile. Perfect card!
Your cards are great!! Icannot wait to see the next one. Thank you so very much for your creativity and ideas! And your smiling face Have a Blessed Day!
Your color on color layers are perfect for making the sunflower pop! I like the dauber tip for the center. But the finished product is just gorgeous!
