Today’s project is a quick & easy Hey Sports Fan Gift Card Pocket! All you need to create this quick & easy gift card pocket is a 5″ x 5″ piece of patterned paper!
I’m always looking for different ways to give a gift card (or cash) and this one is just so easy to create! It uses a small piece of patterned paper making it a great way to use up your stash and have gift card pockets on hand for whenever you need one!

How cute is the Denim Ribbon with the Hey Sports Fan Suite?! It’s pairs so well with the red & white twine too. A cute way to close this gift card pocket. And believe it or not there is no stamping on this project – a rare occurrence! The Sports Event dies work so well with the Hey Sports Fan Designer Series Paper, I decided to showcase one of the tickets you can create with them combined!
Here’s a template for your reference:
Once your piece of patterned paper looks like this, you can fold the vertical folds into place and then slide your pocket into any one of our Tag Topper punches! It is 2-1/4″ wide, but you should be able to fit it into the Tag Topper punch as shown in my video tutorial. Now through May 2, 2022, the Fancy Tag Topper Punch is 50% off while supplies last! PROJECT MEASUREMENTS:
- Hey Sports Fan Designer Series Paper – 5″ x 5″
- Score along one side at 2-1/4″ and 4-1/2″ (if using a directional pattern, the pattern should be North to South)
- Rotate counter-clockwise and score at 4-1/2″
