Today’s project is a Simply Fabulous In Color card featuring the Simply Fabulous stamp set!
You’ll find this stamp set on page 41 of the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and it’s one of my favorites for its bold images and fabulous font! Here’s another look at this card in stunning Sweet Sorbet:
2 of the 3 flowers on this card are “fussy-cut” (I’m using air quotes because I used my ScanNCut – LOL). A rhinestone center for each of these fun flowers was the perfect touch to take this card from fab to fabulous!
I designed this card for my In Color Club participants for their May happy mail, so here’s the In Color group:
I love this card design in all the In Colors! The diagonal piece of Designer Series Paper is a great anchor for the angled sentiment and pairs well with the stamped flowers from the Simply Fabulous stamp set!
Here’s a quick visual template of how I cut the Designer Series Paper to create 2 diagonal pieces:
It’s one of my favorite ways to add patterned paper to a card front! Quick, easy, and creates 2 cards in a jiffy!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful & blessed day!

Please explain what you mean when you say “scan and cut”.
Hi Rosie! I’m referring to the Brother Scan-n-Cut which is a digital cutting machine. I’m able to scan stamped images and it will cut them out for me!
Not only do I love these In-Colors, but also the simplicity of the cards. They are a great design for making cards to give to charities, nursing homes, and other organizations in need of cards. Thanks for the great idea!
Thank you, Helen!
Great card. I am a little confused you have 1″ on the diagram but it looks like more than 1″ down from the card example Aren’t you getting two pieces to use on a card or is it just one card? Thanks
Hi Shari! It’s technically 1-1/4″, but what I do is line up the top right corner 1″ to the left and the lower left corner 1″ to the right of the cutting groove on the Paper Trimmer to create 2 pieces. Only 1 piece is used on the card, so you can save the other piece to create another card. Hope that clarifies it for you!
Cute and simple. What more could you ask for? Great card and a fun layout.
