Sloped Lid Gift Box & Joy Fold Card

I’m really excited to share today’s projects with you – especially the Sloped Lid Gift Box! I was inspired by a toy box my son received and had to “Pixiefy” it! The Joy Fold Card is a great fun fold using Designer Series Paper! I hope you’ll give these projects a try!

I love a good coordinating pair of projects! The Country Lace Designer Series Paper takes the show and I love the Country Flowers Bundle so much! Let’s get to the projects!

Sloped Lid Gift Box

We had so much fun during my livestream sharing what we though this box looked like – from cash register, to rolltop desk and everything in between! It’s such a cool design! My son received a puzzle toy that was in a box shaped like this without the sloped lid. So I put my Paper Pixie thinking cap on and got to work to design my own version! Here’s another angle:

The lid lifts open and here’s what the inside looks like:

Here’s the template for reference (not to scale):

Joy Fold Card

Joy Fold Cards really do bring joy, don’t they? This one is similar to the fun fold card I shared with you in yesterday’s post, but with a twist! Here’s how the card looks opened:

  5. I like this project. But I must tell you, I probably won’t be able to let the kids have the pleasure of
making any further projects. School administration has taken the free time away from the kids.
I won’t know for sure until after the first administration board meeting, and that’s next week. I
    will let you know.

I really enjoy your videos but have to watch on replay as I am across the pond in the UK.

  8. Dear Miss Pixie (Julie)
I love all of your creations. I wish you’d create some larger boxes too, that we can use for birthday and Christmas wrapping. I’ve used your ‘Impossible box’ several times, but I’d like to see something else as well.

I love how you explain in easy to understand terms how to re-create your great creations. That’s what makes you an wonderful creator. I’m sure I speak for others, too, on that.

Thanks for taking your time to create and teach us so many things.

  9. I love this box so much, but I’m a little nervous to try it. I think that will be my goal today – make the card and the box. Thank you, Julie!
