Cauldron Treat Box & Magic Message Fun Fold

Today’s projects feature the Potions & Spells Bundle! The Cauldron Treat Box is a great way to dress up treats for Halloween and the Magic Message Fun Fold Card is just SO COOL! I love what we can do with paper!

I had so much fun designing projects with the Potions & Spells Bundle – I almost couldn’t stop! I love the way these projects turned out, so let’s get to the details!

Cauldron Treat Box

This Cauldron Treat Box is a really cute way to give candy for Halloween! Sandwiched between the cauldrons is a 2″ x 2″ x 1″ box, which will hold a few treats! With punch art, you could even turn the cauldron into different things!

Here’s how the box opens:

I love hiding a message inside the box! I added a small piece of the Halloween Spells Designer Series Paper with the bubbles!

I had fun designing the front of the Cauldron Treat Box. The Granny Apple Green Glimmer Paper is perfect for the “potion”, but super hard to photograph – LOL!

I love the bubble dies in the set! This project was so fun to make – I hope you’ll give it a try!

Here’s the template for reference (not to scale):

PROJECT MEASUREMENTS:

  • Inside Box Dimensions: 2″H x 2″W x 1″D
  • Cardstock – 7″ x 4″
    • Score along the 7″ side at 1″ and 3″ from each side
    • Score along the 4″ side at 1″ from each side
  • Designer Series Paper – 1-7/8″ x 1-7/8″
  • ALTERNATIVE (for an open-top box): Cardstock – 5″ x 4″
    • Score along the 5″ side at 2″ from each side
    • Score along the 4″ side at 1″ from each side

Magic Message Fun Fold

This Magic Message Fun Fold card is so cool! Shout out to Dawn Griffith for the inspiration! When you open the card, the message is revealed – it’s magic!

It’s such a cool card mechanism – and way easier than it looks! Here’s what the inside looks like with the message fully revealed:

Here’s one more look at the front of the card:

I’m loving the cat silhouette with the broomstick and the rhinestone eyes! And that white layer of cardstock really makes the card pop! What do you think? Will you give the Magic Message Fun Fold a try?

  • Finished Card Size (A2): 5-1/2″H x 4-1/4″W

  2. I made 30 of the open boxes for seniors in my community. They will love them. Had two friends help put them together, a fun time.
I have made the card too! Thanks for all your great ideas.
