These projects were so fun to make! And, side note, I can’t stop opening and closing the Kinetic Fun Fold card – it’s so cool! Let’s get to the project details!
Pumpkin Treat Box
The Pumpkin Treat Box is an adaptation of the Bonbon Box I shared previously! I created 80 of these treat boxes for my Aunt’s 80th birthday party – she loves pumpkins – and so many of you wanted to know how to make it, so here we go!
Inside the treat box, I added a Lindor Truffle – a perfect fit! This twist-top style box is fun to create!
The additional score lines on this version make it easier to twist the thicker cardstock into place! Here’s how the box looks open:
In my video tutorial, I share where to adhere the leaf and the stem so they’re in the perfect position once the box top is twisted close! I hope you’ll give this project a try!
Here’s the the template for reference (not to scale):
PROJECT MEASUREMENTS:
- Interior Size – 1-1/2″H x 1-1/2″W x 1-1/2″D
- Cardstock – 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″
- Score along the 6-1/2″ side at 1-1/2″, 3″, 4-1/2″, and 6″
- Turn a quarter turn clockwise and score along the 4-1/2″ side at 1-1/2″ and 3″
- After scoring full diagonal score lines on the back side of the cardstock, score short straight score lines (also on back side) down to the diagonal line at 1-1/4″, 2-3/4″, 4-1/4″, and 5-3/4″
- Designer Series Paper – 1-3/8″ x 1-3/8″ (4 pcs)
Kinetic Fun Fold Card
The magic of this Kinetic Fun Fold Card is when you open it! By strategically placing some cardstock strips, you can have amazing movement when the card opens! Here’s what the inside looks like:
And while photos can’t do the kinetic movement justice, be sure to check out the video tutorial below to see how cool it is!
I had fun doing a little “paper piecing” technique with the pumpkin pie and the coffee cup. It’s an easy way to add a little color to your stamped images without coloring with markers!
Here’s a top-down view to show you the paper strips that create the kinetic movement:
And the card folds completely flat to fit in an envelope for sending! I hope you’ll give this Kinetic Fun Fold Card a try!
PROJECT MEASUREMENTS:
- Finished Card Size (A2): 4-1/4″H x 5-1/2″W
- Cardstock – 4-1/4″ x 11″
