Book Style Gift Box

Today’s project is a stunning Book Style Gift Box featuring the Peaceful Season Bundle paired with the Season of Elegance specialty paper! This unique gift box is perfect for the holidays, your book club, or celebrating a graduate! The Book Style Gift Box opens to reveal 2 separate boxes for treats, gifts, or even rolled-up cash! Enjoy!

This Book Style Gift Box is inspired by Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Craft and “pixiefied”! I absolutely fell in love with Sam’s version and had to recreate it! This gift box opens to reveal 2 separate boxes!

Inside, I’ve added 2 shower steamers, but during the livestream we tried some other things in there too! It would also be great for rolled up cash for a gift, but it won’t fit a gift card. You could also add a stamped greeting on the inside boxes as well – lot of options!

The picture above also gives you a good look at the scoring on the spine, which gives this box its beautiful curved spine!

This box has both a ribbon and magnet closure, which you can see demonstrated in the video tutorial! Here’s one more look at this beautiful Book Style Gift Box:

I hope you’ll give this project a try! It is sure to wow the recipient! And it’s fun to make too!

  1. Julie, I made 7 of these delightful “books” for my book club members. I filled them with original Werther’s (four fit well in each side and the gold wrappers coordinated nicely with the DSP) and the reception was really great. Definitely worth the work, and of course, I got pretty good by the time I’d made all seven. Thank you so much for the great instruction you give, both in your videos and your written tutorials. I’m a demonstrator, too, but if I weren’t, I think you’d be mine!

  2. I already made this box for my nephew’s 15th birthday. I used a DSP from last year that looked like an old book, copper heat embossing on the outside and vintage book pages on the inside. I put cash in the boxes. He loved it! Thanks for making me a “cool” aunt.
