My card for today’s blog hop is an explosion card, also known as a Turkish map fold! I was searching Pinterest for a fancy fold card to create with my stamp club ladies and this explosion/Turkish map fold caught my eye! Here is the front of the card:

It’s a real wow factor, huh? What a fun card to give to a friend for their birthday (#imbringingbirthdaysback anyone?). This card showcases the coordinating English Garden Designer Series Paper and the Garden in Bloom stamp set. My stamp club ladies all thought the inside of the card was Designer Series Paper – nope! It is stamped! I used Whisper White in the picture above, but it’s too thick for this project, so, instead, I recommend you use printer/copy/computer paper. The finished card size is 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ so it fits in one of our Medium Envelopes. Or you could make your own envelope with the Envelope Punch Board! The size of the paper used for the “explosion” part of the card is 8-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Check out Pinterest for some great tutorials!
