Valentine’s Kit Kat Box

Today’s project is a CASE of a project by another one of my favorite papercrafters, Brenda Quintana at QBee’s Quest. She designed this Kit Kat box using the Envelope Punch Board and I LOVE it!

Here’s what the box looks like open:

This was the 3rd project we made at my Make It Monday class this week. This box goes together so easily using the Envelope Punch Board – one of my favorite tools!

Start with a piece of Designer Series Paper that measures 5-3/8″ x 5-3/8″ and score (don’t punch) on all 4 sides on the Envelope Punch Board at 2-3/8″ and 3-1/8″. Your score lines won’t reach all the way to the edge, but they’ll reach far enough that it won’t matter when you fold and burnish them. Then, you’ll want to cut away the triangle sections created by the intersecting score lines on all 4 sides like so:

Here’s a little tip to square up your box perfectly: Fold the left box flap flat on the 2nd score line and add a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue at the point. Then fold the right box flap flat on the 1st score line and press into place to adhere to the left flap. By folding this way, your box sides will be squared up and ready to adhere the bottom flap!

The beautiful bow is a double-loop fork bow created with the Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon. Stay tuned for a bow tying video next week from me! To close the box, I used 8x1mm magnets. I stuck one inside the box, and stuck the other one on the back side of the heart (using Mini Glue Dots).

Such a cute Valentine’s treat and so easy to make multiples of! You can get 4 of these out of 1 piece of 12×12 DSP. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful and blessed day!

  1. So adorable and with a different sentiment a perfect little gift for coworkers. It’s also a cute handout to those people you see regularly.
