Diagonal Closure Treat Box

Today’s project is a treat box with a diagonal closure!

Here’s what the box looks like open:

And here’s what the front of the box looks like:

My inspiration for this project came from fellow German demonstrator Britta Timm from Stempelart. I converted her metric measurements for the single Ferrero Rocher box, but wanted my box to be even smaller, so I tweaked the measurements to create a 1-1/2″ square box. I love the end result!

This is another great project to make multiples of. You can get 3 of these out of a 12″ x 12″ piece of Designer Series Paper (or 4 if you strategically cut the pieces in a circle). And, while I used magnets to close this box, you can easily use Velcro dots!

Here’s my video tutorial:

And here’s the template:

Thank you so much for stopping by today! It’s my daughter’s 5th birthday today, so we have a fun day and weekend planned for her! I hope you have a wonderful & blessed weekend!

MEASUREMENTS:

  • Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP – 4-1/2″ x 7″
    • Score along short side at 1-1/2″ and 3″
    • Score along long side at 1-1/2″, 3″, 4-1/2″ and 6″
