Today is a quick post to share my daughter’s 5th birthday party favors featuring the Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper and Southern Serenade!
And here’s the group of them:
I followed Sam Donald’s (Pootles) tutorial for this project and it was the perfect size to fit a little fidget toy party favor that I found! Here’s her video:
These are quick and easy to make, so it’s a perfect project to make multiples of. And there won’t be any scraps left over, which I love!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I’ve had a busy few days celebrating my daughter Lillie’s 5th birthday! She turned 5 on Friday and we had a little mommy/daughter date day – IHOP for lunch and we got her ears pierced! Check out how how excited she was (okay, both of us!):

MEASUREMENTS:
- Myths & Magic DSP – 4″ x 6″
- Score along 4″ side at 1-3/4″ & 3-1/2″
- Rotate clockwise 45° and score along 6″ side at 7/8″
- Rotate clockwise 45° again and score along 4 side, only down to the horizontal score line at 1-3/8″ and 3-1/8″

I know that it has been a number of years since this video was made, but as I watched it today for the first time, I wanted to tell you that I laughed until the tears ran down my face!! Thank you for not editing the tape when you couldn’t get the circle punch to work for you. We have all struggled with one technique or another that looked so simple when someone else did it in a video, but just wouldn’t work for us. When you tossed the punch across the table and grabbed the topper punch, you really made my day and the laughter totally overwhelmed me. I love this idea and will be using it this fall. Thank you for sharing not only your ideas, but your honesty with us as both are truly appreciated.

Wow!! I wasn’t allowed to get my ears pierced (folks’ rule) until I was 13 years old! And THEN when my grandmother took me to the mall to treat me to that, the store sent us home requiring us to return with a permission note from my mother, lol!

Hi Julie….I’m reading this now and thinking its 5 years later — wondering how much your daughter has changed in that time. I know she likes to craft with you (I’ve seen some of her Paper Pumpkin projects as well as your son’s drawing and lego building) such a lovely family.
