Look Who’s Turning 40!

Today I’m celebrating my 40th birthday, so I thought I’d create a quick card to mark the occasion!

I still can’t believe it! I’ve anticipated this milestone birthday for a long time, but now that it’s here, it’s still hard to believe! 40 is the new 30, right?! I am so very grateful for so many things – my family, my friends, my health, and all of you – my Paper Pixie fans! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for blessing my life in so many ways!

Ok, a little about this card – the “40” is actually cut out of the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper layer, so it’s the negative of the numbers to allow the Berry Burst layer to peek through.

QUICK TIP: To get the centers of the numbers positioned in the right spots, I just placed the ‘4’ and the ‘0’ that I cut out back inside the negative, then I applied Multipurpose Glue to the center pieces only and placed those inside the numbers. Once the centers were adhered, I just removed the numbers and voila – perfect placement!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful & blessed day!

  9. Happy Birthday, Julie! Hope your day is special & great. I enjoy our Wednesday facebook lives, but can’t believe you aren’t taking your birthday off! I agree that 40 is the new 30, so, if that’s the case, then 50 must be the new 40, right? 😀 (giving away my age there, aren’t I, LOL!?)
