Today’s project is a candle jar gift box featuring the Come to Gather Suite of products!
I sized this gift box to fit a Bath & Body Works single-wick candle jar! The box measures 3-1/2″H x 2-7/8″W x 2-7/8″D. Here’s a closer look at the belly band on the lid:

MEASUREMENTS:
- Finished size: 3-1/2″H x 2-7/8″W x 2-7/8″D
If you’re using 8-1/2″ x 11″ cardstock for your project, follow these measurements:
- Merry Merlot cardstock: 6-1/4″ x 7-3/8″ (2 pieces) OR 12″ x 7-3/8″ (1 piece)
- Score along the 6-1/4″ side at 2-7/8″ and 5-3/4″
- Rotate clockwise and score along the 7-3/8″ side at 2-7/8″ and 6-3/8″
- Come to Gather DSP – 5-15/16″ x 5-15/16″
- Score at 1/2″ and 1-1/2″ on all 4 sides
If you’re using 12″ x 12″ cardstock for your project, follow these measurements:
- Merry Merlot cardstock: 12″ x 7-3/8″
- Score along the 12″ side at 2-7/8″, 5-3/4″, 8-5/8″, and 11-1/2″
- Rotate clockwise and score along the 7-3/8″ side at 2-7/8″ and 6-3/8″
- Come to Gather DSP – 5-15/16″ x 5-15/16″
- Score at 1/2″ and 1-1/2″ on all 4 sides

Hi Julie! I have used this box so many times, but last spring I noticed Bath and Body changed their single wick candle lid. It makes it taller than the box! So I changed it a with one slight difference that I thought I would share with you. When scoring the 7 and 3/8 side I scored at 6 and 1/2 instead of 6 and 3/8! It made all the difference for the candle to fit nicely. Thank you so much for all your wonderful boxes and ideas-I’m a huge fan!

I love this box, and I’m trying to make it tonight. I have the base made, but now coming to the top, there are no scoring measurements for the top in the video. Is it a full 6 x 6 DSP too. PLease help me. I need to make 8 of these for a Christmas dinner coming soon. Thanks so much!

Your tutorial for this box is wonderful Julie! I was impressed when I first saw it, got to B&BW and bought three of the candles, came home and made three of the boxes for 3 ladies that I minister to! Your directions are easy to follow, your diagrams are exact and easy to see, the boxes are beautifully done with those turned-down edges that offer firmness & strength. This is so awesome!!!!!!!! A great gift for Thanksgiving!!! Sometimes we forget to thank others for the tiny simple things and thoughts that mean so much. Example: We lost 2 main employees and since we are a very small business it is a loss so at 67 I am back working 6 very long days with a lot lifting. Friends want to help but physically cannot. So last night when I came home exhausted like usual and not much in the house to prepare for supper, 2 pot pies were on the table saying enjoy night off. WOW That meant so much Tears came.
