Today’s “thinking of you” card features the Love of Leaves Bundle paired with the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper!
I absolutely LOVE the Love of Leaves Bundle! Fall is my favorite season, for one, but I am also in love with the Stitched Leaves Dies and how the stitching is on the negative cutout!
For this card, I first stamped the Shaded Spruce leaf directly onto the card base using the Stamparatus. Then I took a piece of Whisper White that measured 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (same size as the folded card base) and stamped the leaf onto it. Then I removed 1/8″ from all 4 sides to keep the stamped image in the center of the layer. Now that piece will perfectly lay over the card base with the leaf peaking through.
I added a 1″ strip of Plaid Tidings DSP and tied a Braided Linen Trim bow above it. For the sentiment, I cut a 5/8″ strip of Cherry Cobbler, heat embossed the sentiment in white, and then trimmed each end to size, angle cutting the left side. The finishing touch is a rhinestone on one of the leaves. Easy, peasy!

PROJECT MEASUREMENTS:
- Thick Whisper White card base – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored and folded in half at 4-1/4″
- Whisper White layer – 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ to start, then cut down to size after stamping (1/8″ removed from all sides)
- Plaid Tidings layer – 1″ x 4″
- Cherry Cobbler layer – 5/8″ strip cut down to size after heat embossing

I watch many of your tutorials and I am always amazed at the cute unique boxes you share. I have made many of them. The other day I was looking on the internet (in frustration) for the “perfect” cell phone case/wallet. I suddenly wondered if anyone had ever come up with a cellphone/wallet case. I thought maybe with the heavier “chip board” a person might be able to create a “case” for the cell phone and an added case/pocket with a magnet closure that could hold a couple of credit cards and a bit of cash. I can usually follow your ideas and templates but haven’t been able to get measurements as to making them into a “box”. I know I’m asking for the moon but you have so many creative ides and I’ve made several of your little purse-type bags.
