Today’s project is a Thank You Card featuring ink blending using our Blending Brushes!
My upline, Brian King, designed this fun sketch for our team to follow:
So, this card was my artistic interpretation of his sketch!
I couldn’t wait to give my Blending Brushes a test-drive, so I cut an additional 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ layer of Whisper White and die-cut an oval from the center using the Layering Ovals Dies to use as a “stencil”. I grabbed ink pads that coordinate with the Dandy Garden Suite (Calypso Coral, Bumblebee, Mossy Meadow, Misty Moonlight) and had fun blending ink in rainbow order as the focal point of my card.
Then, I heat embossed the “thank you” sentiment in white on to a 3/4″ strip of Basic Black to layer over the ink blended oval, stamped a dragonfly in black towards the top of the oval and added a rhinestone for the finishing touch!

- Calypso Coral card base – 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded in half at 5-1/2″
- Basic Black layer – 3-3/4″ x 5″
- Whisper White layer – 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″
- Basic Black strip – 3/4″ x 3-5/8″
