Diagonal Closure Ornament Gift Box

Today’s project is a Diagonal Closure Ornament Gift Box featuring the A Merry Hello stamp set and Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper!

This is a handmade card made with the Poinsettia Place Stampin' Up! designer series paper and the sentiment says may your season be filled with magic.

This ornament is a “pixiefied” hybrid of Britta Timm’s Refined Box and Sam Hammond Donald’s Tiny Tree Decoration! Here’s a closer look:

I absolutely LOVE this sentiment from A Merry Hello for this ornament gift box:

Here’s a side view of the diagonal closure:

Here’s how the ornament gift box opens:

And here’s how it looks open from the top:

This is a great ornament gift box for an Advent calendar or to fill with treats, gifts, or money for the holidays! It’s also easy to change up to just be a fun gift box for any occasion by just tying a bow without the extra ribbon length.

Without further ado, here’s my video tutorial:

And here’s the template for reference (not to scale):

This is a template created by the Paper Pixie to go along with the video tutorial to assist you in making the Diagonal Closure Ornament Gift Box.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful & blessed weekend!

  2. Hi Julie, I am your faithful follower and I want to thank you for your unique tutorials, I love the little boxes for just one treat for friends (who are mostly patchwork friends), but I was trying many others, too.

  4. Definitely worthy of a ring or jewelry on Christmas morning! Or, for those who have the SU Advent Calendar (Christmas Countdown), it looks like this box could fit inside a drawer for a special surprise!
