Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects are centered around Travel & Transportation, so prepare yourself for a fun journey. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My take on the Travel & Transportation Theme is VACATION! While I should be resting & relaxing in Maui this week for the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip (ahem, thanks a lot, ‘Rona!), I’m sharing a Hawaiian-themed card instead! This card features the Timeless Tropical stamp set paired with the In the Tropics Dies!

I love the trio of Plumeria and I can *almost* smell them, can’t you? Here’s another view of the card:

To give my Plumeria some color depth, I first stamped the flowers in Polished Pink and then applied Daffodil Delight using a Blending Brush! I used the same technique with the leaves, but stamped them first in Garden Green and then blended in Pear Pizzazz ink.
I don’t know about you, but my dream vacation is a tropical one! While I do love international travel and seeing the sights, where I really get my rest & relaxation is at the beach! The ocean waves soothe my soul… from the beach! I’m not an ocean swimmer – LOL! For now, Maui will remain on my “bucket list” and I can’t wait to get some rest & relaxation along the Maui shores one day! What’s your dream vacation? Leave me a comment so I can live vicariously through you!

Aloha, and mahalo for this beautiful card!
Julie-what a great card. I love the splash of pink! Great idea to stamp with it too!
Beautiful flowers, and they do look so fresh! FB live #194! Wow! Awesome!
I knew exactly where you were going with this card from the moment I saw it. I feel so bad for all the trip earners who missed their trip for 2 years. You will get to Maui one day for sure. Hugs. Your card is just beautiful
Beautifully done Julie
Such a beauty, Julie! The colors you’ve used to capture these flowers are perfect. And you’re right – I can almost smell them. So happy you hopped with us today!
I love your card Julie. I have been to Hawaii and the flowers look just like yours. You’ll get there one day and it will be an amazing trip
For you and your family. Thanks for the tip on your coloring technique too. Going to give it a try.
Your visual Smelling the flowers on the beach scene is so relaxing and my happy place as well. I love your stamping and blending here. I would not have thought to do that technique on small images. Thank you for the idea.
