Biscolata Starz Christmas Treat Box

Hi there! Before we get to today’s project (it’ll be worth the wait!), I wanted to thank you so much for your outpouring of love & condolences! We lost our beloved cat, Izzy, on November 2 and needed time to grieve. She blessed us with 16 amazing years! We lived a lot of life together since the day she chose us on October 15, 2005! She’s named after Izzy the “puppy” we intended to adopt at the Atlanta Humane Society that day. When said “puppy” was much larger than pictured, we detoured to the cat room with no intention of adopting a cat. When we walked by this beauty with her olive green and aqua eyes, she reached her paw out of her cage to get our attention and the rest is history!

We weren’t ready to say goodbye, but she let us know it was time. We gave her a peaceful passing at home in her favorite bed with all 4 of us by her side (grateful to Sweet Dreams for their compassionate in-home service), one final act of love for the cat who gave us so much. Thank you again for all of your sweet messages, comments, cards, and prayers – they really meant the world to us!

Now, let’s get to the good stuff! Today’s project is a Biscolata Starz Christmas Treat Box featuring products from the Eden’s Garden Collection!

This is a Biscolata Starz gift box made with the Eden’s Garden Stampin' Up! Collection sized to fit a package of Biscolata Starz cookies and the sentiment says Let’s Celebrate Everything

I found these Biscolata Starz on Amazon and you’ll find them linked on my Favorites Page! Here’s a closer look at the treat box:

I gave this Treat Box a Christmas look by adding the beautiful Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic Ribbon! The Garden Gem I used is also Cherry Cobbler, but can look green in the light with its iridescence – just beautiful! Here’s a closer look at the top view:

This box has a bit of a unique closure to it! I created tabs that I punched holes in for the ribbon to slide through – which keeps this box closed! Here’s one angle showing how the tabs work with the ribbon:

The size of this gift box is great for treats. It will fit a pair of Ferrero Rochers, 2-3 Lindor Truffles, perhaps some votive candles and more! I’d love to hear what you’re going to put inside yours!

Without further ado, here’s my video tutorial:

  2. Congratulations on your achievement with SU. So happy for you and all the effort you put into your business. Next, I’m very sorry to hear about Izzy. She was a beautiful cat and I’m sure a highly respected member of your family. The box you made for the Biscolata Starz is adorable. I haven’t heard of them, but now I’ll have to check them out and possibly made some boxes for gifts. Enjoy your day, Julie!
