Today’s project is a Two Flap Gift Box featuring the Christmas Scottie Bundle!
This gift box is sized to fit a package of Walkers Shortbread Rounds – a perfect treat paired with the Christmas Scottie Bundle!
To create a quick and easy plaid pattern, I used a Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker to draw lines on the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper. Such a great technique and so easy to do!
Here’s what the box looks like when you open the first flap:
You could also add a sentiment to the inside flap! And here’s what the box looks like with both flaps open:
What you can’t see are the hidden magnets I used! During my live demonstration, I share how to line up and hide the magnets under the Designer Series Paper.
Without further ado, here’s the livestream replay video tutorial:
And here’s the template for reference (not to scale):
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful & blessed day!

Hi sweet Julie!
I’m late to the party. I just watched your video on the “Two Flap Gift Box” and was hoping to see an update on the size that will fit a gift card. I loved the 3×3 size, but would love the bigger size for a gift card if you might have time to share it.
Thanks so much, and I’m glad you’re all on the road to recovery!
Hi Bonnie! If you’d like to fit a gift card, change the 6-1/4″ measurement to 6-3/4″ (so 6-3/4″ x 11″) and the score line instructions are the same. Then your DSP pieces will need to be 2-3/4″ x 3-1/4″ (portrait). That will create a box that measures 3-1/2″H x 3″W x 1″D.
So happy you’re back and hopefully feeling better and stronger!
Thank you so much, Sandra! I’m feeling MUCH better!
